Greetings and Merry Meet: First I would like to let our readers know that during this most trying time, The Crones would like to send their blessings and prayers of peace. This is a time and tragedy that has affected us all, however, we mustn't forget the strength, beauty and power of all we believe in, all that is right and all that we represent. We pray for all that has been lost and for alI that continues to go. We continue to pray for strength and peace, our land and our rites. However, we would like to ask that you all continue saying your prayers and rejoice in our faith of the Lord and Lady. Let's celebrate our faith together, let's celebrate YULE! Let's gather by the hearth once more and have our brew of cider. Does every witch have her holly, pine, and ivy ready? Are we all preparing to decorate with the wonderful colors of gold, green and red? Witches all over the world celebrate Yule. They are busy decorating the Yule tree, adorning their homes and hearths with wonderful holly, ivy and pine. The smells of apple, cinnamon, ginger and even mints caress the air. Ahh, yes Yule. A time that brings out the creativity in every witch, but with all the fun lets not forget the true beauty of our Sabbatt. With this issue, the Crones would like to bring forth the honor of our Yule. By sharing its symbolism, recipes, crafts, and so much more, we want to celebrate as our ancestors did. Its time to get busy decorating our homes, dusting our hearths and altars, planning our festivities and most of all preparing to perform our rituals in celebration of the increasing daylight, renewal, purity and innocence, seen through childlike eyes. Lets raise our spirits towards hamony, peace and joy. Welcome once again dear friends. Enjoy our first of a two part Yule series and please, stay as long as you'd like and visit as often as you wish. Blessings to you all, LavenderMOON |
